We work exclusively with production within Europe, using materials sourced and manufactured in Europe. This ensures that both materials and production meet strict European regulations. No one should come to harm for something we choose to wear.
Material
Our brand works only with natural fabrics.
Volume One is made entirely from deadstock fabrics sourced through Nona Source, a platform that connects unused luxury materials with brands across Europe. Nona Source specializes in high-quality fabric from established fashion houses, fabrics that would otherwise go to waste. The materials are sold by the roll or panel, depending on availability. All fabrics on their platform are certified deadstock from Europe.
We chose to work with this kind of fabrics because the fashion industry already produces more than enough. When quality fabrics like these already exist, it doesn't make sense to add to that.
Production
All our garments are designed and prototyped in-house in Sweden. Once finalized, they're sent to our production partner.
Our garments are made at Filomena Lopes Unipessoal, Lda., a family-run facility founded in 2002 in Vizela, Northern Portugal.
The company employs 53 people and is built on straightforward principles: quality work, fair treatment of employees, and reliable partnerships. They work with both local and international suppliers. The facility handles all stages of production: cutting, sewing and finally quality control. After that it comes back to our facility in sweden where we do the last check, and packaging. We chose to work with them because their approach aligns with ours focused on craft, consistency, and doing things properly.
Labels
All our care labels and main labels are made from high-quality cotton labels produced by DORTEX. It's a small detail, but these are the pieces that sit against your skin and go through every wash cycle. We wanted to make sure that even the parts you don't think about are made with care and designed to last.
DORTEX is a family-owned company based in Germany that has been creating custom-made labeling products since 1986. Founded by graduate engineer Burkhard Dohmann, the company combines decades of craftsmanship with a commitment to quality and thoughtful production.
Paper
Our hangtags are made from Gmund paper, a German mill with nearly 200 years of papermaking experience. They work with renewable materials and focus on quality. We use two of their papers: Gmund Cotton and Gmund Manteco. The Manteco paper was developed in collaboration with Italian fabric manufacturer Manteco and follows a zero-waste approach. It's a small part of the garment, but it's one you handle every time, so we wanted it to feel right.
Furthermore all other paper components used by the brand are also produced using GMUND papers.
Garment bags
Our garment bags are made from 100% cotton fabric sourced from a warehouse in France. We use deadstock materials whenever possible, giving existing textiles a new purpose and helping to reduce waste.
The burgundy bias tape used for the finishing details is manufactured in Europe. Each garment bag is composed in-house in Scandinavia.
Designed for longevity, our garment bags are intended to be kept and reused long after your purchase. They can be used to protect and store garments at home, organize clothing while traveling, or be repurposed for a variety of other uses.
